Here’s another bonus Sunday post. The day after Margaret and I stumbled up on the car show in Carmel, we went into our own town for its annual Fall Festival. They have a car show there, too.

This time out I was testing a Pentax IQZoom 170SL I bought to replace the one I dropped and damaged in Germany. A roll of expired Kodak Max 400 was in it — those shots didn’t turn out so well, so I won’t share them here. I shot two more rolls at the show, fresh Kodak ColorPlus and Fujicolor 200. Here are the best of those photos.

Corvettes have never looked better than this general era. Same for the Mustang.

      100% agree.

Nice yellow VW tradesman van. It looks like this was one of the pickup bodies.

I recently stopped at a car shop called Autohaus, in Olympia, Washington, and saw 6 or 7 VW busses there. That’s my type of shop.

Indeed it was a pickup. Those were uncommon here in the Midwest in the 70s while I was growing up. The buses were everywhere, though.

I never thought I would see the day when a Bronco like that one at the end could be in the running for the most expensive thing you shot that day.

      Cult classic.
