Bridges of Berlin

In Berlin, we stayed in a hotel where Friedrichstraße meets the Spree River. It was a terrific location, as so much of what we wanted to see was within an easy walk from the Spree. We walked along the Spree a lot as we moved about Berlin! Here are several of the lovely bridges over the Spree that we encountered.

Berlin: Kronprinzenbrücke
Kronprinzenbrücke, Crown Prince Bridge
Berlin: Spree Fluss nach Hbf
Hugo-Preuß-Brücke, Hugh Preuss Bridge
Berlin - Friedrichsbrücke
Friedrichsbrücke – Frederick Bridge
Berlin - Monbijoubrücke
Monbijoubrücke Süd – South Monbijou Bridge
Berlin - Monbijoubrücke
Monbijoubrücke Nord – North Monbijou Bridge
Berlin - Stadtbahnbrücke at Museuminsel
Stadtbahnbrücke – City Railway Bridge

Great shots – I feel like we need to give Berlin a second chance. We visited during our big Europe trip, but it was so hot, and we ended up being so pressed for time, that we didn’t really enjoy ourselves very much!

Funny how weather can really limit what you can experience in a place, and therefore what you think about a place.

It’s true! It was so hot, almost 100 degrees when we were there.

Have you ever wondered if there isn’t at least one designer of such spans who is named Bridgeit?

Berlin has more bridges than Venice.
