Have been past that station at Point Reyes since first visiting Point Reyes in 1977 and thereafter. So they too are there on Saturday just like ex-Navy radio enthusiasts are on the USS Hornet using her radio equipment keeping Morse Code alive.

    Jim:
Finally got the chance to go back to basics with a BASIC 50 MM f1.8 Nikon “E” Series [old] lens that I received in a Nikon Film kit my brother gave me for my birthday. This puts my D3100 in a full manual mode, have to choose EVERYTHING. This is a nice piece of Glass, much faster than the Kit Zoom lenses, which seem to be F4.5 to F5.6 or so.
It takes me back to my film days, with the advantage that I can see what I just shot and adjust on the fly.
Tempted to put some “Fresh” film in my F4004 or the the N60 and give it another try!

      I shot my 50/1.8 Series E recently myself! It’s a good lens.
