💻 I love to know the back stories behind arcane things. Remember station wagons of yore, slathered in a fake wood veneer down the side? That veneer was a vinyl film called Di-Noc, and it’s still in production today (by 3M). George Frencz tells the history. Read The History of Di-Noc

I liked, but did not love, mine. It chewed through the four SR44 batteries it required. Dowling’s review mentions that this is a known, and repairable, fault. I didn’t know that at the time, and gave my ES II to another collector. It turns out I like my Spotmatic F slightly more than the ES II, so I’m choosing to be content.
