I made enough pleasing photographs in 2022 that I had a little trouble choosing just ten to share in this annual roundup of my favorites. That’s a win. My Nikon Df DSLR appears three times in these images, but then, I deliberately used that camera a lot this year. As usual, some of my most favorite images involve cars. But unusually, some of my favorite images involve people.

See my ten favorite photos from years past here.

Nice selection, and very wide difference in images!

Thanks! You know me, I photograph whatever I’m around.

Great photos Jim! I like the B&W photos very much as they evoke nostalgia and the photos appear timeless.

That’s always the thing with b/w!

Great selection of photographs Jim. Lots of little windows is my favourite for sure. Wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas!

When that one came off the scanner I knew instantly I had a winner. Thanks Mike! Happy Christmas to you and yours as well.

Great work, Jim. Like the play dough and Buick photos the best. Good job with the people photos!

Thanks Marty! I submitted the play-doh photo to Flickr’s Best of 2022 group. I think it really turned out.

This is a really nice set, Jim. Lots of Little Windows was my favorite but they’re all stunning. I look forward to seeing what you produce in 2023!

Thanks Chris! I was so pleased that the little point-and-shoot I used zoomed in deeply enough to get those windows like that.

Love the photo of the Camaro. I had a ’69 r/s. Goes without saying that I wish I still had it. Merry Christmas!

That blue was just stunning on that Camaro. A ’69 R/S would have been a lot of fun to own!

I’m old enough to remember loving those early “short” Camaros and hating the later “too big to be sporty” models…

Great shots, but I especially love the life guard stand. Something about it is beautifully haunting for me. Nice work!

Thank you Sonny! I wasn’t sure when I photographed it whether it would work out, but the way the developer enhanced the gray sky gave it just the right mood.

Nice, my favorite also is the life guard stand. What’s not shown is as important as what is shown.

Thanks Doug! Happy Christmas to you and your family.

They are all very nice. I am torn between the trio walking in the park and the old Buick.

Thanks! Can’t go wrong with either of those.
