I’m going to go out on a limb here and guess that things aren’t going great for the Cedar Creek Motel. :)

Long gone! The building still stood at that time but it was falling in.

Always enjoyed passing by the Cedar Crest on 40. Sad it disappeared. They still lit up the Rest Haven at night the last time I was in Springfield.

The building was falling in the last time I saw it, so it was probably time for it to go. I wonder what happened to the sign. Little known fact: in front of the Cedar Crest is a brick road that was US 40 before the current alignment, the only surviving brick segment of US 40 in Indiana.

I’m curious to know why these are all digital. Is it because you see them while driving down roads and a digital camera is usually what you have in the car with you? Nice collection, by the way.

I made all of these on various road trips, and I shoot primarily digital on those. I can make 3-500 images in a day on a road trip, so digital is the way to go!

The sign for the Wishing Well Motel is one of the sorriest I’ve ever seen.

      Yes it is.
