Very nice shots, Jim. The second is my favorite. Too bad Plus-X is no more.

Ah that Buick! The bulb in that headlight is modern, but the look is still good.

I bought about a dozen rolls of frozen Plus-X earlier this year, got a great deal. Happiness!

Modern or not, the look of the bulb housing is definitely still good. It’s the grill and the “Buick 8” lettering that really sells it, though. Great composition. Great subject. Great film. Great camera/lens. Simply put, great photo.

        A dozen rolls of frozen Plus-X?! Jealous… :)

Will I be the only person here today who IDs the last one as a 1975 Pontiac LeMans? I’ll bet I am. It is kind of amazing how there was so much style variation within the three inch diameter that surrounded a standardized sealed beam headlight unit.

Good eye! Yes, even with the Collonades there was enough variation year to year to positively ID them even from a distance.

Look in their eyes, there’s beauty all around :)

Nice photos Jim! Nowadays you can’t tell the difference between a Toyota and a Ford just from the headlights.

There have always been “the lookalike cars,” but today there clearly isn’t the styling of 50-60-70 years ago.
