I meant to schedule post about autumn color in the suburbs to go live on December 10. This happens to me every once in a while — I forget to set the schedule before I hit the Publish button. I wish WordPress had an “Are you sure?” prompt when you do that.

Now I have to come up with something else for December 10.

  1. How about autumn colours over the last “x” years? Especially if you have photos of the same trees. It would be interesting to see how much they have grown.

  2. Actually there is an “are you sure setting“. I turned it on by accident one day and decided to keep it. Not sure it is very effective though – I now tend to double click when I hit the post button! :-/

  3. I have done that, but then go “oops” and un-publish and schedule it. But then I get confused comments. I am not sure there is a good answer.

While we are on back-office topics, has something changed on WP that has made comments difficult? Even though I am logged into WP all the time, whenever I try to comment through a web view from an email, it is terribly cumbersome now. It wants my name, email, website, and even then it won’t go through half the time, so I have to copy the comment and go back in through WP Reader. I wonder if it’s my browser or if other readers have noticed an issue.

    • I thought about unpublishing it, and have done that with past oopses, but decided to just let it go this time. Once it’s published the emails go out and it’s in the feed readers. You can’t put Pandora back in this box.

I haven’t had any challenged with making comments on other blogs. I don’t know what the story is there for you!

You can just republish it… a “best of” — based on the photos in this post, in mid-December, we could probably all use some Spectacular Herbstfarben!
