    Nice little primer on the Tessar lens here…I worked at a studio that had a 250mm Tessar, in n old Compur, and altho uncoated, it gave fantastic results on a view camera, including amazing sharp very close up! It seemed to be impervious to “softening” usually associated with Planar view camera lenses used close up! It was well used by most of the staff, and people would wait to use it if they had a pic they were doing that was closer than average images.
