Bauble in the window

Margaret and I went Downtown for a photo walk a few weeks ago. Lots of people were out, and it was wonderful to be among them after so long cooped up at home.
We window shopped along popular Massachusetts Avenue. She was drawn to this charming necklace. I went back Downtown a few days later and bought it for her, for her birthday. She never reads my blog, so I’m not tipping her off here!

What is that, turquoise? It really is an eye-catching arrangement.
I think it’s all glass. But it is lovely.
Good move. It shows you are a good listener- something I need to work on.
I do my best!
Jim, you had me at ‘Bauble’…
Lol! It’s a good word and I’m glad to be able to drop it in.
Good man. At least you were able to pick it up yourself. Tammy never had a diamond ring, when we married she wanted just a gold band. 10 years later she saw an unusual diamond ring while at a conference in Miami that she loved. I tried to buy it for her from home, had to call the hotel and ask “Uh, do you have a jewelery store in your basement” then I had to call the store and ask “Uh, did a Canadian woman come in there yesterday and look at this ring?” then pay a lot of money for this thing to be shipped sight unseen to my brother in law in Texas, then wait for the next time he returned for a visit. That’s the short version, it was an orderal…
Wow, you really went all out to make that happen! That’s almost better than the gift itself.
Cool plus!! What a neat thing to do
It sure made her birthday gift easy!
Nice photo Jim! You seem to be getting along well with you new DF. I showed my wife your photo and she really likes the necklace. I believe you may have cost me some money for a gift. ; )
So sorry my man!
That’s a gorgeous bauble! She will be thrilled!
She was!
