Using the 55mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor lens on the Nikon Df

It works great. That’s really all I need to say about it!

I love this lens. I’m so happy I get to use it on a digital body as well as on my film bodies.

My favorite Nikkor! Great walking around lens too.

All 3 are well done, but the middle one really stands out to me.

Thanks! It has almost a 3-D feel.

Nice pictures! This is a superb lens at all distances, and I used mine with Kodachrome 25 for many years. It may have been my highest resolution 50/55 mm lens of any brand (although the 55mm ƒ/1.8 Super-Takumar comes close).

A sad story: I sold the Micro-Nikkor to a fellow on the west coast, and the post office lost the package. After a few weeks, they honored my claim and sent me a check. But a nice piece of optical engineering seems to have been lost forever.

Have you ever used the 50mm macro for the Olympus OM cameras? It is sublime.

      A sad story about your Micro-Nikkor. :-(

Yes, I have the 50mm OM lens, but no OM body. I use it with my Fuji digital camera. I suppose I should try one of the OM bodies again. We used them at the office, but all we’re surplussed long ago.
