  1. The tricky bit is when lies are promoted as truth. We are taught from an early age that it’s wrong to tell lies, but then when we grow up find it is not only common practice but acceptable standard.
    Personally I’ve seen so much over so many decades that I am in favour of silencing the stupid and don’t see it as censorship when fiction being represented as fact is properly labeled lies – and removed.
    Reality isn’t open to debate except in the field of metaphysical philosophy.

    • There’s a lot to unpack there! I’m not sure I can do it justice. I struggle a little with reality being always objective and accurately describable. Yet I do agree that there are lies, and that labeling fiction as fact is harmful. It does get a little messy when you start deciding to remove that stuff because that power can be abused. I don’t know.

  2. Interesting times! I am enjoying the extra time I have in the morning as I don’t wake up wondering what the leader of the free world has done to further extend the boundaries of civil behaviour overnight ;) And I have to confess I rearranged my home office some months ago to be more zoom/teams friendly.
