Ships at Killybegs
Canon PowerShot S95
2016
After a long day of visits to Ardara, Glengesh Pass, and Glencolmcille, we stopped in Killybegs for dinner. I was exhausted, and just wanted to go straight home. It took some doing, but Margaret convinced me to stop for photos in the harbor.
Nice shot, Jim – worth postponing dinner for. I see Atlantic Challenge creeping in there from the left. Not to be confused with Atlantic Dawn, which was another Killybegs vessel built in the days of the Celtic Tiger and one which courted a lot of controversy. Fishing is, as you saw, big business in that part of the world.
This harbor really was lovely at dusk. But boy, was I on fumes.
