    Good shot.

Any trouble with dust on the negatives?

I have tried 4 or 5 Argus A’s over the years and on most of them the light seal ribbon around the lens barrel was shedding badly. One of those cameras I want to like, but found a bit frustrating.

If I remember correctly, you can tell prewar from postwar A’s by whether or not the lens is coated.

No dust, but a few shots late on the roll were covered in scratches. Argh.

I want to like the A, too, but frankly had a dreadful time with this one. More on it tomorrow when I review the camera.

You can tell the prewar As also by the shutter button type: plunger is prewar, lever is postwar.
