I read a lot of blogs. I don’t know where I find the time. Every Saturday, I share with you the posts I liked best from the week.

Alister Scott tells a sad tale of the day involvement with a wasp cost him his iPhone — and the life lesson hidden therein. Read Bush Walking (or how a wasp can destroy your iPhone)

I follow a blog of street photographs in Sydney, Australia, by Lignum Draco. His mother passed this week, after a years-long descent into dementia. It was awful, for her, for her son. It is the backstory we didn’t know while he was using street photography as a diversion, as a balm, as a reprieve. Read The Cruelty of Dementia

Emily Sullivan Sanford has had several surgeries to lengthen her limbs in response to dwarfism. She writes of several things in her most recent post, but the one that sticks with me is how people in the fringes — the goths, the metalheads, the punks, the hippies — how unwaveringly accepting of differences they can be. Read Curiosity Kills the Rat
